Paier College maintains a decades-long legacy of honing and enhancing the talents of its fine artists. Our BFA students are challenged to create works that inspire their craft and demonstrate the principles they are taught within the curriculum. The Fine Art program at Paier deals primarily with picture making; this involves the drawing and painting of objects, figures, portraits, and landscapes. Our faculty elicit the response of personal experiences, the artistic environment, and the artist’s imagination and channel those elements to the canvas. Fine Art is a mode of expression from the artist to the viewer, and students with a passion for this type of expression will learn not only how to cultivate their talents, but also explore methods of commercializing their experiences and discover the places where their skills can be utilized for career development.
Beyond core curriculum and elective coursework, students are exposed to classes in Painting, Drawing, Perspective, Design, Art History, Modeling, Computer Art, and more.
